THE Alveston Singers raised £2,300 for charity during 2017 through donations from audiences at the choir’s concerts.

Money given at the spring and December events have now been shared between the Julian Trust, which helps the homeless, and Off the Record, a mental health charity for young people.

The choir chooses two charities to support each year and has thanked all those who contributed to collections at the end of its performances.

The singers are now preparing for their 2018 concerts, the first of which will be in May, details of which will be announced later.
