Appeal over plans for another 370 homes is postponed

October 01 2018

The appeal by Bovis Homes over its application to build up to 370 houses on land South of Gloucester Road in Thornbury has been postponed until early 2019. It was due to start on 11th September.

As the Thornbury Voice goes to press, it’s been announced that a pre-inquiry meeting is to take place at Turnberries on Tuesday 25th September.  This meeting is mainly procedural, to set the timings and scope of the Inquiry.

The outline application was for building on nearly 60 acres (24 hectares) of agricultural land, from Upper Morton to Crossways Lane at The Knapp.

The appeal was submitted against South Gloucestershire Council’s non-determination of the application within an agreed period. The inquiry is expected to last up to ten days.
