Busy inbox for Castle School parents
Parents who are re-launching the dormant PTA as a friends association already have an action plan, with at least 130 parents signed up so far.
First they will put pressure on MP Luke Hall to make fair funding for schools a priority, urging him to attend a public meeting.
They plan to run fundraising events, a DIY SOS style day to improve the school grounds, and to support the wellbeing of staff and parents. The friends will carry out a skills survey to find parents who can help to improve the school site, and it’s already asked staff for a ‘wish list’ of what equipment they need most.
Parents who want to be involved should email
firstname.lastname@example.org and title their email PTA.
