Club appeals to FA over division for next year
Thornbury Town have made an appeal to The Football Association after being placed in the Hellenic League rather than the Toolstation Western League as they had been expecting.
The decision came as a surprise for the Club, and the Western League, and they have appealed the decision. The FA’s League Council at Wembley Stadium will make the decision. Whichever league Thornbury end up playing in next season, it will be the highest level that the Club will have played at in its history, after being promoted as champions last season.
Some of the improvement work needed for the promotion to go ahead has already been completed, including the laying of a new path around three sides of the pitch.
