can you spare 2 hours a month to act as Committee Secretary for 2nd Thornbury Scout Group? It involves attending 1 hour meetings on a Tuesday evening every 2 months with an additional 2 hours preparing the minutes and providing administration support to the group. Would prefer someone who has had experience of scouting and a DBS check will be required.

Home-visiting family volunteers are needed in the South Glos and Dursley/Wotton areas to support families in their own homes with the aim of building the confidence and independence of the family. Home-Start volunteers will offer support, friendship and practical help and be able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 hours per week according to the family’s needs. A DBS check will be required.

Alveston Youth Centre is looking for volunteers to join their team to help with the general running of the facilities. This could include any of the following depending on your skills or preferences: admin, accounts; odd jobs; fundraising; bookings. A volunteer companion is required for a female with a learning disability in a home in Almondsbury run by Milestones Trust. She would like a volunteer to visit and support her with activities inside and outside of the home and have someone to talk to and keep her company. The role requires a volunteer to visit once a week and there is flexibility on what day this is. Full induction training provided.
