THE next round of consultation on plans for thousands more homes in South Gloucestershire will run this autumn, with drop-in events organised for areas including Thornbury, Falfield and Charfield.

Last year there was consultation on the Joint Spatial Plan for the West of England, which proposed another 600 houses in Thornbury, some 2,200 in a new garden village at Buckover and a further 1,000 in Charfield.

Thousands more are proposed around Yate, Chipping Sodbury and Coalpit Heath.

The Thornbury drop-in event will be held in the  Armstrong Hall on Friday, September 29, from 2pm-8pm.

Falfield Village Hall will host the session for Buckover on Friday, October 6, with Charfield Memorial Hall’s event on Wednesday, September 20, both during the same hours.

The Joint Spatial Plan will set out the overall amount of residential and employment development and where it should be located in the West of England, as well as the infrastructure to support it.
