Gongs handed out at end of season cricket bash
Thornbury Cricket club has held its awards ceremony at a special dinner at Thornbury Golf club.
The Grace Cup for the outstanding player was awarded to Luke Davis who scored 526 runs at an average of 35. His top score was 132 against Hatherley & Reddings. His bowling was also impressive with 25 wickets at an average of 3.
The Walters cup for the most improved cricketer was awarded to Andy Weeks, whilst the Pearce Cup for the outstanding young cricketer went to Josh Riggs
The most improved youth player was Praneel Choughie and Derek Davis was named the outstanding member.
Dan Davis had earlier picked up recognition at the league dinner for the outstanding player in WEPL division 2. He scored 759 runs at an average of 44, top soring with 176 against Biddestone. He also picked up 21 wickets at an average 33.
