4th Thornbury Brownies have been delving into the tool kit to learn DIY skills.

4th Thornbury Brownies have been delving into the tool kit to learn DIY skills.

The brownies recently returned from their Christmas to try a taster activity on offer based on a new programme, which will start from summer 2018 with the switchover will complete in 2019.

The brownies chose to do a DIY activity which involved learning about tools, and practiced by screwing and hammering into potatoes to form shapes and letters.

The programme of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and The Senior Section is changing so it continues to remain relevant for its members. A lot is staying the same but there will be more adventure, more technical skills (like DIY and bike maintenance) and more social action in line with what members are asking for.

There are going to be several new types of badges, awards and activities too.

We are always really pleased to have new volunteers join us. If you can help in any way please go to www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus<http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus> and register your interest.
