Man wanted over armed robbery at Thornbury travel agent

POLICE want to trace this man over a series of knifepoint robberies at travel agents, including one in Thornbury.

Detectives are linking three raids on travel agents in the South Gloucestershire area in the past few months.

In all three incidents a man with his face covered threatened staff with a small knife before making off with cash.

The first robbery happened in Regent Street, Kingswood on June 7 at 2.15pm.

The second was at a travel agent in Thornbury High Street on October 22 at 5pm.

The third was in Downend Road, Downend on October 25 at 3.15pm.

In the Downend incident, the offender made off across nearby allotments before cycling through the Oldbury Court area.

Appealing for information today, an Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: "We’d like to speak to the man in the image as we think he may have information which could assist our inquiry."
