Masons make anniversary gift to Jessie May Trust

A local charity that helps families care for terminally ill children has received a large donation from the Masons.

A local charity that helps families care for terminally ill children has received a large donation from the Masons.

The £15,000 donation to the Jessie May Trust was part of a scheme to give £3 million to 300 charities across the country to mark the 300th anniversary of the formation of Grand Lodge in London, 

£58,000 was distributed to six local charities across Gloucestershire, with the Jessie May Trust chosen by the public. 

Recipients of all the donations were invited to the Masonic Hall in Stroud for the ceremony which was hosted by the Provincial Grand Master for Gloucestershire, Tim Henderson-Ross.  Guest of honour was the Lord Lieutenant, Dame Janet Trotter DBE.
