New studio for local radio station
Community radio station GLOSS FM has moved a step closer to having its own radio studio after signing a deal for premises in Castle Street.
The move comes less than a year after the station established its internet only service.
Station director Glyn Roylance said: “It’s a brilliant location for a radio studio. It’s easily
accessible and it will give us intriguing possibilities to cover local events such as the food
fair and carnival.”
The station hopes to be back on air as soon as possible. It intends to apply for an FM licence as soon as regulator Ofcom opens its applications process.
