A PUBLIC inquiry will be held into plans for 115 new homes and a park and share scheme in Falfield.

A PUBLIC inquiry will be held into plans for 115 new homes and a park and share scheme in Falfield.

South Gloucestershire planners had turned down the scheme by Cotswold Homes for land at Heneage Farm, Moorslade Lane, earlier this year.

There were concerns at the level of building proposed, which would more than double the number of homes in the village, and the effect it would have on roads, especially the M5 junction at Falfield.

Opponents said there was already a heavy reliance on private transport and facilities such as schools and health services were only reachable by road,

It is anticipated that the inquiry will be held early in 2018.
