Sell-out travel talk gives cash boost to charities
TWO charities have benefited from a sell-out photo travel talk on New Zealand that was given in Olveston Parish Hall.
Peter and Jane Haworth thanked the 108 people who attended the New Zealand Hotspots event, which made a net profit of £2,680.
They said the financial support from local business around Thornbury and the donations for a draw and raffle helped in the fund raising effort.
The money raised has been shared between the Bristol-based Penny Brohn UK cancer charity and Auticulate, which helps autistic children and young people.
