Sex offender on the run from Leyhill Open Prison

POLICE are warning the public not to approach a sex offender who is on the run from Leyhill Open Prison.

Ronan Korby, who is also known as Lee Watersworth, was last seen at 10am on Friday in West Street, in the Bedminster area of Bristol. He was in the city on a work placement but did not return to the prison near Thornbury later that day.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said the 50-year-old absconder was serving a sentence for sexual offences.

Korby is white, about 5ft 10in tall and of medium build, with a tattoo of a sun and eagle on his right forearm.

When last seen he was wearing a black jacket and jeans.

The spokesperson said: "If you see him, do not approach him but call 999 immediately, quoting reference 5219 120 912."

Anyone who thinks they have information which could help officers trace him can get in touch online or by calling 101, quoting the same reference.
