Cannabis factory found in Thornbury

A SUSPECTED cannabis factory with 90 plants has been uncovered by police in a raid in Thornbury.

Officers with a search warrant raided a property in Coln Square at about 4pm yesterday and arrested a man in his 20s, who remained in police custody today.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: “Officers discovered what they believe is a cannabis farm.

A number of plants and equipment in the property will be seized. Officers and crime scene investigators remain at the property today.”

Announcing the arrest on Twitter, Thornbury police officers said: “A big thanks to local residents for the intelligence given to police.”
