Driver injured after stone thrown at lorry in Thornbury

A LORRY driver has been injured after a stone or a brick was apparently thrown at his windscreen.

The driver, a man in his 30s, needed hospital treatment after the windscreen shattered and pieces of glass cut his face.

The incident happened on December 12 at 7.30pm, as the lorry was travelling along Midland Way, above, near the Gist warehouse on its way to Thornbury.

Avon and Somerset police have called for anyone in the area that night who saw anything suspicious to contact them on 101 quoting crime reference number 5218 275 040.
