King Arthur is coming to Thornbury

THORNBURY’S award-winning musical theatre group is about to stage the premiere of its new pantomime.

Based on the legends of Camelot, King Arthur The Pantomime has been written by group member Richard Prior.

Audiences are promised fantastic characters, catchy songs and some panto-style participation.

The panto will see Arthur’s love for Lady Guinevere take him on a dangerous journey and an encounter with the villainous Mordred and his wicked mother, Morgan Le Fey.

The legendary king and wizard Merlin will also face challenges on the quest for the Holy Grail.

Performances run from Wednesday to Saturday, February 20-23, at 7.30pm, at the Armstrong Hall. Matinees are at 2.30pm on the Friday and Saturday.

Tickets cost from £10.50 and are bookable online at with no booking fee. Family tickets £40.

They can also be bought at the box office, based at Lisa Costa Residential Sales and Lettings on Thornbury High Street. Call Angie on 07516 270140 for more details.
