Thornbury Pop-up shop pulls in new volunteers
Thornbury Volunteer Centre’s Pop-Up shop has finished it’s successful eight week opening, not only raising thousands of pounds, but also seeing 29 people register for volunteering roles.
The shop, which was in the St Mary Centre, sold a wide range of donated pre-loved items, from clothing to toys, and books to bric-a-brac.
It’s expected to raise around £4,000, but organisers say it also successfully enhanced the profile of the Thornbury Volunteer Centre. Four new organisations signed up with them to offer opportunities for voluntary work.
The Pop-Up Shop will be back next year.
