A Thornbury woman has published her first book, aimed at young children.

A Thornbury woman has  published her first book, aimed at young children.

Carol Bush, has teamed up with a Frampton Cotterell artist Amber Rose to write Today I…, aimed at two to five year olds.  

Carol, who has three children of her own, has worked with children for over 20 years and currently works with hearing impaired children

Today I..., is a first book for the pair.  Carol said; “We have both enjoyed learning about the process of publishing a book and are thrilled with the end result. The positive feedback from children, teachers, parents and grandparents has been amazing, we are looking forward to creating another book.”

Amber studied animation at the University of West of England and went on to become a digital designer at an e-learning company in Gloucester. She now works as a freelance artist.

Carol said “Its clear words and beautifully illustrated, colourful pictures are all relatable to children, allowing opportunities to encourage conversations, develop awareness of the days of the week, senses - hopefully resulting in smiles.”
