POLICE are trying to trace two prisoners who have absconded from Leyhill open prison.
Shawn Dibble and Carl Perry both absconded from the jail near Thornbury on Sunday evening.
Dibble, 44, was serving a sentence for burglaries, theft and robbery, while Perry, 37, was serving a sentence for robberies.
Dibble has links to Bristol and is described as being 5ft 9in tall and of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He also has tattoos on both arms and a missing upper front tooth.
An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: "As part of our ongoing enquiries, we’ve arrested a 43-year-old woman and 65-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an escaped prisoner.
"They are in custody at this time."
Police are advising people not to approach either man but to call 999 if they see them, quoting the incident number 5222 138 847.
Anyone with other information about the men's whereabouts should call 101.
The walkout came as police continued to search for Sean Phipps, 51, a rapist and kidnapper who absconded after going into Bristol city centre on day release, on June 1 and is still at large.
In May 61-year-old William Javoric, who was convicted of murder in 1984, was found to be missing from the open jail.
He was later arrested after being spotted by a member of the public in a Bristol park, following an appeal for information.
