Volunteers needed to make cards for charity
Volunteers are being sought in Thornbury to set up a card making group for the Bristol charity Goodwill Children’s Homes.
The cards are sold to raise funds to help educate orphaned and destitute children in Southern India.
Between 6 and 10 people are needed, and the group would meet once a week. Companies are being asked to donate materials and glue. Training and mentoring is provided to get the group started.
The charity’s administrator, Theresa van der Merwe, said: “This is an opportunity for you to meet local like-minded people for a chat, coffee and card making, it’s great fun and you will be so pleased with what you will achieve. You don't need to be experienced, just have the want to create.”
