Springtime is bringing the first action for triathletes slowly emerging from winter training in the pool and long bike rides.

Selina Slater got her multi-sport season underway by travelling to Somerset for the Taunton Deane Aquathlon, which started with a pool swim of 500m, followed with a 5k run. Selina opened with a competitive 9:46 mins swim and ran the 5k in 29:06 mins to finish 34th overall and 15th woman in a time of 38:53 mins.

Angela Bushell competed in the 38th edition of the Frenchay 10k. The course starts and finishes on the UWE Glenside campus and has some tough climbs near the finish.  Angela maintained a steady pace throughout the race and finished in 247th place in 52:55 mins.
