STUDENTS at the Castle School Sixth Form have achieved some “impressive” A-level results.
Leaders at the school said more than a fifth of all exam grades were A* or A, with 43% at A*-B.
Among the highest achievers, getting a clean sweep of A*s, were Ryan Jones, Daisy Townson, Ben Chippett, Aiden Ho, Thomas Read and Katie Lyons, who also achieved an A* in her additional Extended Project Qualification.
The school said the “vast majority” of students, who attended the sixth form after studying at the Castle, Marlwood and other schools, were accepted onto their first-choice courses.

They included Findlay Ayers, who will study law at Oxford University, Justine Yeung and Chanelle Milligan, who will study medicine at University College London and Bristol University respectively, and Jasper Yip, who has won a place to study veterinary science at Liverpool University.
The school praised students who had made “significant progress” to secure places on courses, including Lucy-Anne Nelmes, who will study diagnostic radiography; Grayson Borg, who will study zoology at Reading University and Ben Curran, who will study games animation at SGS.
Oliver Bywater is joining the RAF, Jessica Williams will join the Norland Nannies and Lydia Cherian is pursuing a T-level in architecture.
Head of sixth form Catherine Cheese said: “We are proud of all our students; they have been dedicated to their studies and their future aspirations.
“We are especially proud of the variety of destinations that we have in our cohort, demonstrating the range of interests and aspirations our students have, and the support and encouragement provided by all staff at the school.”

Head teacher Jessica Lobbett said: “I am hugely proud of all of our students.
“They have not only excelled academically but have become well-rounded young adults, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to parents and family members who have joined us in our educational endeavours, in addition to our dedicated staff for their tireless efforts in shaping the future of our young learners.
“I wish our students every success for the next stage in their lives.”
